Keeping it simple and super sweet

I absolutely adore photographing small weddings. If you are lucky enough to get married in the bay area, then you might as well choose a beautiful vineyard to exchange your vows.  B.R. Cohn winery is by far one of my favorite venues to shoot in for couples that love to keep everything very simple and intimate.

Congratulations Brad and Kim.  xoxoxoxoxo

Sweet Sonoma…

Natalie and Steve married in Sonoma at The Garden Pavilion, a beautiful and lush private estate that hosts less than a dozen weddings a year.  This was by far one of my favorite and most beloved weddings to shoot this year!  Beautiful and fun couple + exquisite details + Sonoma (purrrrrrrrrr) = FABULOUS wedding!

Thank you Natalie and Steve for letting me be a part of it!  XOXOXOXO

I love City Hall Weddings!

Lafayette Park

City Hall in San Francisco is fabulous, gorgeous, and a great place to exchange vows.   This wedding made me melt!  I was surrounded by beautiful details, a loving family, and a spectacular couple.  And… Erica and Justin got extra lucky because their wedding was the very last one to take place that day, so they had the opportunity to wed on the fourth floor of city hall, which is the most beautiful floor!  Lots of pretty light and privacy!  Afterwards, we strolled through Lafayette park in Pacific Heights for some sweet picture taking and then landed in SOMA at the delicious and romantic french restaurant, Le Charm.

Weddings like this, make me daydream.   Thank you Erica and Justin!!!  PRETTY PRETTY!!!!!

Carmel Valley, Cali Charm…

Again, I am so so lucky.  I get to photograph a gorgeous couple, at one of my favorite venues, Holman Ranch, on a BEAUTIFUL summer day in Carmel Valley, CA.  Shannon Leahy planned and designed this charming, rustic, ranch style wedding with all sorts of cute details that were so much fun to photograph!  I have to admit that it was very hard for me to resist the fried chicken (I’m a vegetarian, but my goodness it looked so yummy ), but I wasn’t that disciplined when it came to Kara’s cupcakes (the best cupcakes in San Francisco!  I ate ONE privately…I promise.)

Thank you, Vannessa and Cayman, for a beautiful wedding to photograph.   Best wishes to you both!

all smiles and kisses…

got to live happy

I love couples who laugh a lot.  Anne and Vin were married this March 2010 and managed to have three ceremonies , in three different cities, over the course of two days, and laughed, danced, and kissed the whole way through.  Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and full of culture.  I’m so lucky to have been a part of it.

It was such a pleasure, Anne and Vin.  Thank you.

A lovely winter series…

winter flowers

It’s always a pleasure being featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs.  I collaborated with a lovely team of creative creatures to produce a series of photographs to inspire the winter bride’s wedding bouquet.  Grey Likes Weddings, a beautiful and informative blog, decided to share our photos with their readers.  Thank you Natalie Bowen, from Natalie Bowen Designs, for your beautiful floral design.  And thank you thank you to my amazing make-up artist, Danica Green, stylist, Akasha Enkil, and the lovely model, S.I. Fran.  You ladies are fabulous.  Enjoy these photographs.

Hapa baby

sleepy head

I love it when former wedding clients contact me to photograph the new additions.  My friends and one of my first wedding clients, Phuong and Tommy, just recently welcomed little Miss Audrey Vy into the world.  Naturally, I was enormously flattered that they asked me to photograph her. (Babies are not as demanding as brides.  Hee hee..I swear I’m kidding.) And, I am going to assume that it was a good thing that she passed out during our photo shoot.  Little Audrey is a beautiful blend of Vietnamese, Irish, and Italian. I am sure that she will grow up to be quite the Hapa babe.  Congratulations, Phuong and Tommy!

A new and beautiful year…

pretty bride

2009 was a great year filled with gorgeous brides, handsome grooms, and lots and lots of kisses.  I can’t wait for the new wedding season to start!  So far, I am daydreaming of Carmel Valley, foggy San Francisco I-do’s, sunny Sonoma, and a winter white New England wedding bash.  I want to photograph all the pretty weddings, so send them my way.  Happy New Year!

kisses kisses kisses…

Ashley and Beto

Ashley and Beto

I love kisses.   I especially love that moment right before the kiss.  Lucky for me and the lovely couple above, it’s sealed. Ashley and Beto got married last week in Santa Cruz, CA and I had the pleasure of photographing it.  Congrats you two!

Now, where is my kiss ???

my guilty shoe pleasure…

Elle's pretty shoesIt is true that I do get really overwhelmed when I go shoe shopping and I would prefer running around barefoot.  But one of my absolute favorite details to photograph during any wedding are the bride’s shoes.  And I confess to photographing the bridesmaids’ shoes and if I am really impressed, I may photograph the groom’s shoes as well.  I can’t help it…it’s just what I love to do.   As your wedding photographer, you must allow me this guilty pleasure.  It’s just like chocolate.
